Scarborough in August
August in Scarborough is all about the traditional English seaside family holiday: the beach, donkey rides, penny slots, deck chairs, ice cream and candy floss.
Both South Bay (where all those traditional seaside amenities are) and North Bay (which is more natural) are recommended beaches that are clean and well maintained and it’s the best time of the year to get in the sea .. this is when it’s warmest with a sea surface temperature of a balmy 14C.
