If you like panoramic sea views from the comfort of your Scarborough B&B, you’ll keep coming back to The Paragon Hotel, a lovely 4 star bed and breakfast. Many of our front-facing rooms have bay windows so you can sit and enjoy a stunning 180 degree sea view over Scarborough’s beautiful Blue Flag north bay and medieval Scarborough castle. If you wake up early you might catch sunrise over the sea.
We’ve helped thousands of people enjoy a warm, relaxing Scarborough break .. in fact, it’s our family’s 25th anniversary year at The Paragon this year (2014).
Our proper breakfasts are legendary (they’ll keep you going all day).
Enjoy a friendly drink in our comfortable seaview lounge bar before you enjoy your evening promenade and before retiring, we have the largest picture window of any B&B Scarborough.
Fancy a B&B? Scarborough’s perfect
Stay with us and you’ll be close to a fabulous, clean, Blue Flag, award winning sandy beach, entertainment and shopping (Scarborough is enjoying a resurgence of independent shops). Stroll and enjoy a paddle in the sea, go boating on the lake at Peasholm Park, take in a show at the Open Air Theatre, Stephen Joseph Theatre or Scarborough Spa, experience perhaps the best ever beer at Scarborough’s very own microbrewery pub the North Riding, take in a film at the Plaza Cinema or even cheer on a match at the cricket ground. Try the Sea Life Centre with a pub lunch at the Scalby Mills Hotel, or in the other direction enjoy Scarborough Castle with its magnificent views and heritage.
If you are celebrating a family anniversary, birthday or other special occasion, why not spoil yourselves with our platinum room for extra special comfort. Alternatively if you are just looking for a clean, friendly, dependable place to put your head down, get in touch for room-only offers on some of our rear-facing rooms (subject to availability). Phone us, let us know what you want and we’ll do our best to find something to suit you perfectly.
Want a seaview bed & breakfast? Scarborough’s the perfect warm and friendly break
Scarborough is worth a long break. Discover something new that you’ll love like you’ve known it forever: a small drive gets you to Whitby, Filey, Bridlington, York, the North Yorkshire Moors, Pickering and Helmsley, and every day you’re here gets you more entries into our Scarborough Bed and Breakfast prize draw.
Scarborough is not only beautiful in its own right, it’s also in Yorkshire, winner in 2013 & 2014 of the World Travel Award’s best European travel destination.
You may know Scarborough for its traditional amusements and beach, but it’s also a very creative seaside town once you start to explore. For music, we are close to the Open Air Theatre, for instance, but check out the Spa, the jazz club, the blues club and nearby local pubs.
If you enjoy art, visit Scarborough Art Gallery and our many smaller art galleries, artists’ studios and art cafes (keep an eye out for Open Studios), and of course theatre at the Stephen Joseph Theatre (Alan Ayckbourn lives here and premieres his plays here) and other venues. Visit in February for Coastival.
The Scarborough bed and breakfast life
Wake up to a glorious sunrise, enjoy a fabulous breakfast and set out for the day, whether you’re walking around the headland or travelling further afield. Back for fish and chips on the seafront and some great entertainment before bedtime. That’s Scarborough, and we love it.
